Michael has been blacksmithing since 1976 and blowing glass since 2009.  In addition, to his iron and glass work, Michael utilizes a variety of other media making Sculpture in mixed media and carvings in antler, bone, horn & shell.  The subjects of Michael’s art range from the traditional and practical to very modern, conversation stimulating pieces. 

Michael is originally from Arkansas but spent over 30 years in Ohio before moving to the Atlanta area.  Michael was the last Master Blacksmith with Stone Mountain Park before the change in venue closed the blacksmith shop.  He still occasionally does demonstrations of blacksmithing and glass blowing for the park.

Michael’s work has been collected internationally and you can see his current collection on this website and at various shows around Atlanta.
